Leeds is a blooming financial and services
city at the heart of the United Kingdom, in the Yorkshire region (North
of England).
For general information on how to get to Leeds, the following University
webpage contains details on how to reach our campus by several means of
transportation:
Getting here (University of Leeds)
For those of you who are coming from outside the UK, the easiest way
will be by air. A low-cost airline, Jet 2, operates from the
Leeds-Bradford international airport, and it has direct flights with
a relatively wide range of European cities:
Leeds-Bradford International Airport (LBA).
Jet 2.
Manchester, another big city in the north of England, enjoys a good
international airport that might be connected to your city. You can
fly to Manchester and then take a train to Leeds (about 1 hour, 15
minutes travel): Manchester Airport,
National Rail
If your city is not directly connected to Leeds, your best bet would be
flying to one of the London airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted) and
then take a train to Leeds. If you are flying to Heathrow, we would
suggest you to take the underground train from Heathrow Airport to
King’s Cross (Piccadilly Line, coloured in dark blue) and then take
a regular (surface) train to Leeds (about 2 hours, 15 minutes
travel): Heathrow International Airport.

The price of the underground ride is £4. The cost of the train
tickets will be much lower if you book them in advance, so if you
are coming to Leeds via this way we would encourage you to book your
tickets by using the National Rail website:
